Do we tip the furniture delivery guys?
If so - how much? We are getting our furniture delivered tomorrow! I am so excited!!!

we tip everyone, I would say $10 per guy dependeing on the amount of carrying the do, I f you have a long driveway with lots of steps, maybe $15 each

There was a post about this a week ago or so...here is my response from that:
I was curious about this too so I just whipped out my Emily Post's Etiquette book. She says that "when deliverers uncrate, assemble, or install an item, each receives btwn $5 and $20, depending on the amount of work performed."

we always tip BUT what we tip depends on what they do..if they just deliver maybe $10 and if they assemble we tip more may $20-$40 depending on how much is being assembled..

Our furniture was delivered this week & we gave each guy $10. to carry the boxed crib upstairs & the dresser.

I did, but only because they setup the furniture for us! They setup the crib and the entire changing table/dresser/hutch and it took them awhile. I gave them $20 each.

We had 2 guys deliver from Behrs and they assembled the crib and put together the other furniture. We tipped them $20 each.

Thanks ladies - they will be delivering from Behr's, carrying the stuff up our stairs, and probably assembling it for us as well... so we probably will tip about 10-20 bucks each....

I'm sure we'll end up tipping our guys too. They have to come up the stairs to our home..and possibly push the armoire over the balcony...LOL!
