Do you always get your hair done when you go to a wedding or other formal event?
I don't, but I am thinking about it for a wedding next month, I just don't want to look too overdone, but after running around my 18 month all day I am going to need a good updo that will hold!

nope, I went to a wedding one time with 7 toothpicks holding my hair up. I never like the pro updo's, always to beauty queen-ish for me.

I don't always. I hardly ever do actually but I just got my hair done for my girlfriends wedding 2 weeks ago. VERY loose waves and the front part up. I probably could have done it myself but it was easier just going to get it done.

Yes..pretty much every formal affair I go to I get my hair done.
However, when I say get my hair done, I mean I get it blown out professionally. Not put in an updo.

I am going to my h.s. reunion this weekend. I was going to get my hair blown out but decided to schedule my normal hair cut and highlights for that day so I wouldn't have to spend twice the money. And I would have my hair looking nice for that night :)

I often do when I have to go to an OOT wedding and I can't bring hot rollers and a million hair products with me. I just find a local salon, I just need someone to curl my hair nicely and make it hold or do a good blowout. I actually love getting my hair done -- I hadn't for the longest time, and then I went to a wedding in Seattle and had it done at a salon near the hotel and my hair looked SO FABULOUS that I think I am going to do it more often now!

Considering I always look like complete and utter sh!t when I get my hair done professionally, no! 
Nobody can style my hair properly- they think I want it straight and flat as a pin.
It ends up looking horrendous.
When I get a hair cut, I rush home and immediatly wash it or throw it up in a pony- I won't even go to a store like that- much less a wedding!

Same here. I only do it in the summer and warmer months, b/c I don't have a/c and it gets so hot doing my hair.

I usually get my hair done before a wedding just because, I love getting it done all special and there's not always an excuse to go ahead and do it  But going to a wedding....... that's a good excuse to glam up!

i never used to, but after a few run-ins with humid days i started to
i usually try to plan a haircut around a wedding and then get it blown out after, or i will just get a blow out. i only get it "done" if i am in the wedding

Never.. I just spend hors trying to do it myself with rollers.
Next wedding, I'm getting it done. With a 1 year old, I just dont have the time or patience anymore.

Only if I'm in the wedding party (because I have no choice) and I always hate the way they do it.  (I only liked the girl who did my hair for my wedding and she doesn't do hair anymore.  )
Nobody can blow my hair out like I can  and I don't wear updos because my DH loves my hair down and because of my build (I look more feminine with my hair down.)

I have for the last wedding I went to and will continue in the future. I stink at doing my own hair and it was really a time saver for me. I never get an updo, just blown and styled.
