Do you attend the stuff at your agency?

My agency is holding their NY BBQ on June 11th. We are still in "waiting" but it is open to all families. Do you attend this stuff? Do you think it will benefit your child?

We attend our agencies annual BBQ. We went the summer we were waiting and were happy to see so many happy little ones that had successfully come home. Last year we brought Jack and we all had a blast. We will try go again this year. Right now its more a networking/social event for us as Jack starts to understand more I think it will be beneficial to him to know some other children adopted from Russia.

We have attented a few different things at our agency. I highly reccomend it! The picnic, and also a Cultural Day celebration which is such a great way to expose your child to families "just liike him"

our agency was based in Texas, and did not do functions like that here. I fthey did, I would have liked to go. You get to see everyones little angels, and you get to meet people who will be traveling, or have already traveled. Plus, you may meet people in your area and cna hook up for play dates, etc.

We met another couple through my MIL who adopted from China, and I have to tell you, we are together all the time. The girls are about a year apart, but get along great. We really established such a great friendship, that I cherish so much.
