Re: do you believe in ghosts?
I believe. Never saw any, but I still heard way too many cool stories not to believe.

Re: do you believe in ghosts?
I never ever did until I worked in my school and now I'm a true believer. I'm still very skeptical though and question everything.

Re: do you believe in ghosts?
I believe in ghost, I have a story to share....
When i was in high school i had the ouija board and my friend wanted to play with it, So, I got in contact with a friend of mine who was killed in a motorcylce accident and he told me i was going to go to hell because i was playing with this thing, And i was like i dont believe this is you... Well we put the game away walked to dairybarn and a bread flew off the shelf by itself I needed bread than i went to go pay and all of a sudden his whole family walks in. I nearly died.

That is freaky...I will never look at a Ouija board again.
I believe in ghosts/angels, too!
My mom, who died in 1995, has saved my life twice. Once was on 9/10/01 when my friend got tickets to see Good Charlotte (before they were famous) and I kept telling them no because I had an important meeting the next morning. Eventually, I gave in and on the short walk to the venue...across the street...I saw my mom standing and smiling. At the time, I swear it was too much Jose, Jack and Jim but I found out the next morning when I overslept that it was really her. I missed my meeting at 9:00 am in the WTC because I was hungover.
The 2nd time was when I lived in Flushing...a neighborhood not known for the friendliest people (Fresh Meadows). I was walking to the lot at 5:30 am and all of a sudden a I hear a voice from across the street calling, "Sarah! Sarah over here!" Starship came to mind but then I looked over and this dude kept motioning me and there was no other person in sight. I grab my mace and feel compelled to walk towards him. When I get to his side of the street he starts telling me not to panic but a car in the lot is getting robbed right now. I look around and the car next to mine is getting stripped! Eventually the would be robber disappears and I am free to go. I would not know the dude who called out to talk me if I ever saw him again but my mom's hebrew name translated to Sarah. Oh, OT but we moved to Great Neck the following Saturday!

Re: do you believe in ghosts?
I do and I have seen it!
The day my BFF passed away suddenly, almost 5 years ago ) I was laying on my couch which is under a skylight, grieving and distraught. I looked up and she was looking at me thru the skylight. It was at night and she looked like she was making sure I was ok
It gave me comfort in a good way.
I have seen and heard a lot of other things but nothing as vivid or the same as my BFF

Re: do you believe in ghosts?
No, I think there is generally a worldly explanation for things that go bump in the night and "sightings".

Re: do you believe in ghosts?
absolutely- my grandfather died on December 14th last year- same day as his brother-in-law exactly 5 years earlier.
a week after he died, we went to his sister's house- she was dying of cancer- and she told us about how her husband & my grandfather were there and with her- she died 3 weeks after my grandfather.
Christmas was my grandfather's favorite holiday- every christmas now, his two favorite christmas music boxes just randomly play- but only when the family is all together- my grandmother said it never happens when she is alone. they are the type that you have to wind and there is no way that they could accidently go off. sure enough christmas morning, dh and i get to grandma's and the music started playing as soon as we walked in.
I find it reassuring

Re: do you believe in ghosts?
absolutely- 100%
I had a really comforting encounter on christmas eve. I swear my mom was in the house with me (she passed 1-26-02)
We were making mashed potatoes and DH had turned off the mixer and cleaned it. We came back in to the den only to hear the mixer turn itself back on and bounce wildly across the counter. I go back to the kitchen, turn off the mixer and explain to DH what happened... only to notice that our brand new clock (with brand new batteries- hung that morning) had stopped at 1:26.... so then I'm crying... all of a sudden (after DH & I acknowledged the 'broken' clock and coincidental time) the clock went in super speed and caught up to the correct time in front of our eyes (5:45)

what really solidified it for me was the fact that all day (DH was working) I was crying & praying outloud to my mother saying "I wish you were here to see our 1st christmas in our new house- I miss you so much".. this was just a really tough holiday season, until that very moment with the mixer & clock
