Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
My grandmother died alittle over a year ago.
My aunt and cousin met with a medium last week
The medium described detailed things about my grandmother.
She also said that there was something big that happened to our family right after my grandmother passed....Jack was born a month later.
She said that my grandmother wanted us to know that she held him before he came into this world. And, that - if we look closely at pictures of when he was born - we will see her marking on him. She also mentioned that c-section births you sometimes cannot see the marking. She said it could be on their face/neck - it's where the deceased touched them.
I looked back - and this is what I found. Do you think this could be a marking on his cheek?
She also said that my son can still my grandmother. Do you believe that children - since they are so pure - can see people who have passed on?
Has anyone had any experience with mediums? Was this woman just messing with my aunt?
She really knew some crazy details about my grandmother! Image Attachment(s):

That's pretty cool. The markings really look that way .
I have heard that they can still "see" family members who have passed. I hope it's all true and Connor met all my grandparents.

I am not sure about the markings (I have never heard of this before) but I love to believe that my girls can see their brother.

I don't think you're crazy. I have heard the markings called angel's kisses. I do believe that babies can "see" angels/deceased. I could have sworn DD could see MIL who passed away before I met DH (DD's middle name is after her) when she was wn infant.

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
Yes!!! The red markings are called "angel kisses".. my dd and nephew (who was born 1m after my dd) have the same marking on the same exact eye. I believe it was my dhs father who is both their grandfather kissing them.
I love hearing these stories!.. i didnt finish reading your post, only got up to the markings part, i hope the rest is good stuff.
eta: also like PP my dd looks at the same spot since she was born in my living room, my dh and I always ask whos visiting grandma or grandpa?
I also believe babies and young children see what we dont. My neice once pointed to the sky when she was much younger and said grandma bette... my sis said yes shes in heaven.. grandma bette in green dress.. (my mother was buried in a green dress, and my neice was only 1 when she died, so no way of her knowing this)

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
I do believe babies can see things we can't. Sometimes, when I'm feeding Lily her bottle before bedtime, she'll stare up into the doorway when there is no one there and wave. Since my grandfather died when she was five months old, I always tell myself that he's watching over us and she's waving to him. We were at my grandmother's house recently, and there was a picture of my grandparents on the table. Lily insisted on going over to the picture and kept point at my grandfather. She knows my grandmother's face...but she never really knew grandpa...and yet still - she was insisting on touching him in the picture. So I truly believe she knows him and he visits her. And it makes me happy to think that, so I'm not going to change my mind about it!
Your story is very touching...I would 100% believe it.

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
Thanks everyone for posting your stories and not making me feel like a loony.
When I'm feeding Jack in the highchair he always looks up at the door w/ this blank stare - I tell myself that he sees my grandmother and grandfather.

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
I don't think you are crazy at all. I do believe in mediums.
After I had DS their was always a butterfly around me when I went out. Weather it was me taking a walk or even going to my moms and then when it was time to leave I would see them waiting on the stoop. When I became pg with DD I started to see 2 butterflies around me. They would follow me all over town. On one occassion their was a butterfly over our car on the Verrazano bridge! The butterlies were always around and then sometimes I would see 3 of them if I was very stressed. Now that I am all settled and no stresses I don't see the butterflies. Now I have my 2 grandfathers and ex-boyfriend have passed and I think it was one of them. When DS was a baby and I was feeding his bottle or sitting on the loveseat he would always stare at the outside door which had a window on it and just stare at the light.
My mother's cousin thinks that DS look's my grandfather but I don't really see it.

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
I firmly believe that my first set of twins used to come and play with Ariel until she was about 3 years old....
On what would of been their 4th birthday I took Ariel to the cemetary with me to put flowers on their grave. When we got back into the car she was turned around in her carseat looking out the back window looking up into this tree giggling...(the grave and where we had just come from was in front of the car not behind it)..As we pulled away she was waving out the back window say "bye bye boys bye bye boys" It was the last time they ever came to play with her...

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
I do believe in Mediums. And I do believe that children and pets see things we don't.
We had a haunting in our house awhile back and my dog knew it was going to happen before we did.
And Andrew used to laugh at the air a lot which I believe was my grandparents making funny faces at him

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
I don't think you're crazy. I believe in mediums. I do also think we need to be careful that there are some con-artist out there, too. That is so cool that this one knew so much about your grandmother. How nice to think that she held your son before he was born.
My DS will sometimes stare up at nothing and giggle periodically at, well, nothing. I like to think it's angels or maybe my uncle or something

My aunt runs an assisted living and they had the medium come there. We were joking that since everyone was so old there the woman would be there all night given they all probably know alot of people who have passed away!

Since DD learned to talk she would wave and say "hi bob, hi". My grandfather who passed away before I was born is Bob.

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
Yes, after my little experience w/ DS, I believe it. When my first DS was born, the very next day a very close friend of the family passed away (same hospital DS was born but on a different floor). About a month later when I was feeding DS his nighttime bottle, he would stare at this particular spot in the room and would smile and giggle. It was the weirdest thing. The next day around the same time it happened again. This went on for about 3 nights in a row and I knew then he was seeing this person that had passed away. It never happened again.

I don't think you're crazy. I think it's a nice thing to know that our loved ones are still with us, watching over us.

Re: Do you believe in mediums? Don't think I'm crazy
I believe it!
A few months before I was born my grandfather died...growing up my grandmother used to tell me that the beauty mark by my eye was his marking to remind me that he is with me and sees me. (as a kid I can't say I took much stock in her story but...)
When she was sick my sister was really little and she told me that she was sad that she wouldn't get to be with her last grandchild...then she told me she would leave her mark.
My sister has the same exact birthmark under her eye...but she was not born with it like I was...arrived months after my grandmother passed.
I don't know if birthmarks are one of those things like eye color where they get passed down...but I believe my Nonna.
