Do you buy in Bulk??
I have a small dog and the food I get her comes in a small pkg (11 cups) or they have a huge bag you can buy. I feel that I am running every week to re-stock and prob in the end paying more then I should if I were to get the larger bag.
I know they sell the air tight containers that you can store your dog food in, but I wanted to know if that works, does it really stay fresh, etc..??
What does everyone else do?

Re: Do you buy in Bulk??
I have a huge airtight container that I got at costco (it's made for dry dog food). I buy in bulk, a 40 lb bag at a time, but Gus is 115 lbs, so he goes threw it much faster then your dog would. I would just make sure that you're keeping it in a dry place, and make sure that you mix around the food, so it's not left sitting on the bottom of the container.

Peanut is only 9 pounds and not a big eater.
We buy her the 8lb bag and it lasts her about 2 and a half months!

Re: Do you buy in Bulk??
Our dog is only 8 lbs, but I buy the 20 lb bags. It works out cheaper and I dont have to run to the store every few weeks. I got an airtight dog food container from Walmart for 10 bucks. They have all different sizes.

Re: Do you buy in Bulk??
My dog is big, so food does not stay around for long. I buy the largest bags of food and pour them into a large plastic container from Target. It has a snap lid, and Ive never had a problem with it.
