Do you ever read a post that makes you want to cry?

I just read a post on the childless families board and I am in tears. I hope that my child never feels that way about me. Chat Icon

I'm a rather stoic individual... but there have been a few threads about sick children or spouses that totally sent me over the edge.

some families on this site have endured so so much Chat Icon I can't even express my empathy in an adequate way Chat Icon

(I don't go onto the childless families board since we are not one, so I don't know the thread you're referring to...)

Chelsea won't ever feel that way about you. MS isn't anything that you have any control over.

Ugh... I am so sorry that you even read that....

Many Chat Icon . I'm sure there are other parts of the story that maybe were left out and that would make your life very different from that poster's mother.

Re: Do you ever read a post that makes you want to cry?

I know which thread you're referring to and I have to say, it seemed very selfish to me. I understand where she is coming from, but I cant imagine being her mother and knowing she feels that way about her. I dont believe that most people would feel that way about their parent when it was something that they couldnt control.

I'm sure your daughter loves you tremendously and would never be angry or resentful for something you couldnt control Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm sorry that must've been tough to read Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon The poster's entitled to her feelings, of course, but that's no prediction on you and your daughter AT ALL, please don't even WORRY that she will feel that way. I think we all, in some way or another "take care" of our parents; granted, there's a huge variance in the kind of help parents need and in what their kids are able/willing to provide but that's part of being a family IMHO.
