Do you feel that you are "losing" some of
your single or non-parent friends since becoming preggo? Lately I feel like all my single or "non-parent/pregnant" friends feel that we are no longer as close. I try to still attend all the functions, etc and I don't feel the distance but apparently they do.
It's so depressing and I'm sure the hormones aren't helping

I don't have many single, non-parent friends. It's really too bad that your friends feel that way. I'm sure it's frustrating for you. Just because you're in different places in your lives doesn't mean you have to stop being friends. I hope you are able to keep it up, but it's hard to do when it feels like a one way street.

Thats terrible..we dont have many non single friends but I dont attend everything with them because I have been soooo tired and emotional lately. Sometimes I feel that they dont understand but its only temporary

in a nutshell, yes. I have noticed people aren't asking us to vacation with them next year. I don't blame them, just weird. Also, DH was in a bridal party, now he is not not sure how to take that either.

Re: Do you feel that you are "losing" some of
It's the opposite for us. We are late 30's and the last of all friends and family to have kids. They are the ones who have drifted away from us the last several years.
It's just like when I was single and then got engaged... all of a sudden the married women at work would talk to me when before I was ignored. I bet now some of my friends will come back and especially since I'm having twins everyone will want to know everything.
My questions is... "Were they ever truly my friends if they drifted apart in the first place?"
I hate how married/people w/ kids only hang out with other people in the same stage of life.
Oh, and Barb, the above statement doesn't apply to you

Re: Do you feel that you are "losing" some of
I know the feeling, but I think this feeling is totally normal. I try to see my friends as much as possible. I was the first of them to get married and now one of the first to have kids.
My husband thinks I am just being paranoid. I also think it is a little hormonal. Just a little
