Do you find it harder to get out of the house when they are younger or older?
I find it so much harder to get out of the house NOW that Megan is older than when she was an infant. Everyone told me that it got easier when they get older, just grab her and go. I highly disagree, but it may just be the child I have.
When she was an infant, I packed her diaper bag with her bottles and off we went. She stayed wherever I put her and it was so simple. NOW, its a mission to get her dressed. Once shes dressed, she takes off her sneakers and socks a thousand times. I do her hair, she pulls it out a thousand times. I gotta make sure I have snacks at all times because she doesnt eat very well. Only drinks from certain cups. And it seems whenever we are ready to walk out the door, she poops. Then to get her out of the house, she wants do everything on her own which takes FOREVER! Megan is a kid who NEVER stops so I am thinking this is why it may be harder. I put her in her carseat, before I can get to the straps, shes wiggling her way out. Its so tiring.
Whats your opinion? Easier when they were younger or now that they are a bit older?

It was much easier when Kaila was younger. Now that she can talk and walk lol its a lot harder. If she doesnt want to go somewhere, its a fight.
When she was an infant I just put her in the carseat and went, miss those days

I'm with you on this one. She loves to go outside yet she runs away from me when it's time to get dressed, throws a tantrum when it comes time to do her hair and then proceeds to head in the opposite direction of the car once we are outside. I miss the days of throwing her in the infant carrier grabbing the diaper bag and going.

It depends on the day over
She loves going out - so if I tell her we are going in the car, she will come over get dressed, find socks and her shoes and then goes to the door and starts counting - cause I am usually not ready

Harder when they are older. You should see me try to get out with a 6 yr old, 4 yr old and a tantrum lovin' 2 1/2 year old. My middle one has to pee as soon as we are ready to go, the older 2 argue, the baby is having a fit bc he wants to sit in the 6 year old's booster. It's not pretty. But I understand it get easier. Or at least that's what "they" tell me Sometimes I miss the days of one who stays put.

It was so much easier when he was an infant. I would get him dressed and he would literally sit and wait for me
Now at 16 months its a battle to get his clothes on, he takes off his shoes/socks and is an absolute crazy person

Older - I found it a lot easier when she started to sit up on her own, but now that she's standing and coasting the furniture, it's a lot harder to get her to sit still.

Definitely easier when she was younger. But not until I knew what I was doing. In the beginning, it took forever. But once I was done BFing, it was so much easier. Although now we don't have to plan around that morning nap anymore, so that makes it easier.

Same here with Julia, it was much easier for me when they are older, Todd Jr is only 5 months and he's such a good baby, but I love it when they can walk and be more independent!

Its easier to get out of the house with a little one, now that my son is two and a half, getting out of the house is super quick! Especially on work days, he loves getting in the car and getting to "school" It was harder getting out with a tiny baby, so much to remember....

I think it's all relative. It seems as if things keep getting progressively harder with children--it's almost as if we're in training and each new age brings different issues.

I'm with you on that! You know Megan and Lauren are twins! My biggest problem these days is when I get her dressed, she is already telling me she doesn't like her clothes and has to pick them out

Re: Do you find it harder to get out of the house when they are younger or older?
no way
Even with his morning neb treatments, its nothing to get out of the house.
I wait till their breakfast is done, Josh is dressed...then I turn on the TV for the few minutes it takes me to get their cups and snacks together, then we are out the door.
Early on, the nursing and food scene made it hard..

Definitely when she was younger. Now I can shower while she gets herself dressed. Then she quietly plays while I get ready and off we go. No diaper bag, gear, bottles, etc. I can't believe I'll be starting all over again.

Re: Do you find it harder to get out of the house when they are younger or older?
OMG it is SOOOOOOOOOOO much harder now! EVERY single thing we do is a battle! I chase her around the house trying to dress her, and it is SO hard to get out of the house and especially into the car. Her new thing is running from me and hiding in the back yard. And man, getting out of the car, as soon as I unbuckle her she climbs into the front seat and I have to PRY her from the driver's seat. Then when I turn my car on later EVERYTHING turns on BC she has pressed so many buttons.
I'm waiting for the plateau. It has to get easier evenually right?

One is not easier than the other to me, just difficult for different reasons.
