do you find long naps helps sleep at night for your newborn
i realized that not only did ds sleep in his carrier last night which may have been why he slept 9-4 straight through but he slept A LOT yesterday, i mean A LOT.. if i followed the baby whisperer book i have it says dont let them sleep for long stretches in the day but if i follow the idea that sleep begets sleep it coudl explain why he slept so well last nght.. thoughts?

Sleep begets sleeps - At least when my DD1 was an infant and DD2 who is a year old.
For us short naps meant long nights and cranky babies.
When they slept well at naptime, they were well rested for bedtime, and slept for long stretches at night.
