Do you find that they nap longer - when they are put down later

Jack normally goes down at 12 and sleeps for exactly an hour and a half

We went to Storytime this morning - so I put him down at 1 - he is still sleeping (tossing so may get up any minute now)

Is this just a fluke or should I be putting him down at this time?

Sometimes to even keep him up until 12 is torture.

Honestly, no. But if it works for you, hey go for it! You could push his naptime back incrementally. However, if he has any issues sleeping at night, you don't want a late nap to exacerbate that.

Sometimes Lily will sleep later when I put her down later, but then that makes bedtime a problem. She's slept from 2ish-almost 6 a few times. Then an 8:30 bedtime just will not happen. I think you should stick to 12 if he's that cranky at that time. He may just be worn out from all of those stories.

I was just going to call you to brag that Frankie is still sleeping!! I put him down normal time 12:45ish & Its 3:07 & he's still going!!!

P.S. - I didnt really answer your question, just wanted to boast!!

My DD is the same exact way. She usually goes down at 2, and will sleep for 2 hours. I usually have to go in there and wake her up. However when I put her down at 1-1:30 she only sleeps for an hour.
I just thought it was me, but I guess some children are different.
