Do you get anything for the kids/families you tutor?

I bought the kid I tutor a bunch of books on his reading level so he can read them to his parents. They are proud to hear him read and he is proud to read to them  .

i always get them a present and they always get me one. last year i gave him a remote controlled car. this year i got him the dark knight DVD. i just flat out asked him what he wanted and that's what he told me. i gave it to him yesterday and he was so excited!
