Do you get paper bank statements?

I want to go paperless mostly because I hate all the paper, I feel like I fill up my file folders so quickly & hate managing it. I'd love to just have it on record online but people always say, what if something goes wrong, etc. What do you think/do?

I haven't gotten a paper statement in about 3 years. I have up to one year online at my disposal and if I need anything more than that I can call the bank.

I am paperless. But you can also download them and save them on your computer instead of in a drawer.

I still get paper everything. I am a little paranoid about identity theft and don't like having all my info for every account online.

I am super organized though, so I keep things in pretty good order, shred a few times a year, and can find things faster than it takes me to get my computer on and get online.

I just switched to paperless. The statements were just too much and I check my online banking everyday or every other day anyway so I never looked at the statements that come in the mail.

I am paperless on everything. I despise paper bills, statements, etc. I also pay all of my bills online. The only thing I get paper for and have to write a check for is my truck lease because Nissan charges you to do it online. It's unbelievable in this day and age.

No paper statements for us.. It's easier bc you can look them up at any time on line..

Nope, paperless here too. Been that way for over a year now. So much happier.

I just switched to paperless this weekend. I hate filing all the statements - I don't even open them half the time.

I have been paperless with everything for many years. It’s much easier in my opinion

I do. I like being able to see the stuff in my hands. Online I forget to look.

I switched to paperless about a year ago and it was the best thing I ever did. I used to save everything, and was running out of room.

Nope we're paperless for every bill that allows it.

I do... I get paper statements for everything for several reasons. I am paranoid about data loss. I like to have that record just in case.

Maybe I am silly and in the minority but I dont like being totally dependent on the computer....so I still get paper for all my bills. A majority I pay on the computer but I just feel better getting the bills in the mail.

save a tree and go paperless..

there is really no excuse not to go paperless.

why store something that you are gonna look at once...?

reduce your carbon footprint by going online, downloading and saving... easiest thing to do is create a folder for the bank or company, inside that, create a folder for the year, inside that folder you will have your pdf's labeled by month. you can take it a step further and encrypt those files so someone just doesn't walk in and open them or with paper with a possible break in or you don't shred it, they can get your account number that way.

heck, with technology, you can type in a store and a dollar amount that you have a question with and it will search inside your documents.

Ok, thanks for the input, I am now paperless for my bank statements and credit card bill .
