do you give your class mom(s) a thank you gift at the end of the year?

My class mom is so great! She puts so much time and effort into making each class party really fun and special for the kids. Should I get her a little something to give her at the end-of-the-year party? I was thinking a bouquet of flowers with a card signed by all the kids. I'm pretty new at teaching, so I'm not sure if it's customary to give a gift to the class moms.

I wanted to my first year teaching, however I decided to run it by another teacher & was told the principal did not want to "start anything," so I never did. It works out better anyway; but I guess they didn't want some teachers doing something & others not; maybe ask another teacher in your school what is the norm.

I give both of mine a gift certificate to the local nail salon ($20)
I have also done persobalized stationary sets

However, it is customary in our school to give them a gift.
I think flowers and a card is very apporopraite and thoughtful

When I had class moms last year, I gave them each a hanging basket of flowers and a card. One of the other teachers in my grade got them beach bags, a beach towel and flip flops which I thought was a cute idea.
