Do you have....?

Does anyone have any great back to school activities that they want to share?

I am teaching third grade for the first time this year and the activities I used in first aren't appropriate.

Any help would be appreciated..

Classmate bingo-- make up a board that has categories like " find someone who went to another state this summer" "Find someone who has a baby sister"
The kids walk all around the room asking each other questions and getting to know each other


Classroom scavenger hunt- I make a list of clues and have the kids work in pairs or small groups to find certain things like " I am used every day to make something sharp and pointy ( pencil sharpener) You will use me to keep track of your behavior ( traffic light chart)

Classroom Convention- get together to make our class rules
