Two of them, actually. One was getting full, so I bought a 2nd.
After a while, I realized that I really don't need to keep owner's manuals in the safes....  Now I have more room....

Home Depot, Staples, etc.
Birth Certificates, Tax returns, passports, important documents that you don't want to get damaged if there is a fire.
I also have stuff that may not necessarily need to go in there, but I put them there anyway. Current home/car insurance paperwork, receipts for major purchases, paperwork from both car purchases, etc...

Some of the things I keep in it are Mortgage paperwork...birth certificates...marriage license...PASSPORTS

Staples.
Marriage Cert., Birth Cert., any tickets (plane tix, concert tix, sports tix, etc. Only bc I won't loose them if they go in there), passport...

No.... I lost that manual.... now I can't make EZ-bake cakes anymore.... 
I used to put the manuals for everything in there. Fridge, grill, exercise equipment, toaster oven, DVD player, etc. Then I realized how silly that was. If I ever needed to look things up, I would never look at my manuals, I would always go on-line anyway....

Yes - we have one from Lowes. I keep important docs and savings bonds in there.
I almost lost the key once which caused some grief and aggravation but, I found it.

We keep our birth and marriage certificates in there.
Deed to the house
Passports
And a few other important docs.

yes.
got it at home depot
it was pretty cheap- but it's a small one.
in there I keep some jewelry that I don't wear all the time.
birth certificates, passports, social security cards, marriage license, etc.
my DD's savings bonds.
I also have cash in there (try to have a few hundred at least in case, God forbid, anything happens)

My mom gave me one since they have a safe.
I put in it:
-our marriage certificate
-titles to our vehicles
-birth certificate copies
-passports
-important receipts (couch, mattress, computer items)
I keep it in our computer room, easily accessible to DH and I.
