Do you have a home on the market?
If you've had your place on the market, has showing/traffic come to a complete halt since the last week of April?
And if you're still getting showings, when did you list?
I listed my condo in early April and had steady showings until a few days before the tax credit deadline. :P
Am wondering if I should just take my condo off the market until the fall. It seems dead out there.

Check out Coldwell Banker's Buyer Bonus program. They found a creative way to extend the $8000 incentive through creative pricing and marketing. Best of luck to you.

Re: Do you have a home on the market?
I was thinking of posting a similar question myself. I was wondering how much of an incentive the 8000 tax credit was for purchasers. Have people stopped looking since they no longer receive the actual credit?
just curious!

This is nothing but a gimmick to get a seller to lower his price by 3% (with a cap of $8000). I don't know why a seller would do or participate in this.
There is no free money here, and definitely nothing coming out of Coldwell's pockets.
Coldwell Banker is basically paying their "promotion" with seller's money. Maybe if their broker decided to kick in a percentage of their commission to partially pay for this, it would be a decent thing. But the odds of a that happening are well....
Pass.

Our Great Neck co-op is on the market. There was steady traffic up until this weekend, however- we had an open house on Mother's Day....so I don't blame people for not looking- I wouldn't!

Re: Do you have a home on the market?
Just make sure you have Listing Book to follow the trend of the market daily. Also, what is your marketing campaign? Always keep ahead and adjust. Taking it off the market when the market is unpredictable is a gamble.
Good Luck, Arthur
