Re: Do you have a Living Trust or Will?

no. but this part of "adult life" is #2 on my things to do for 2009.

#1 is life insurance... i guess they go hand-in-hand

You should throw in a Health Care Proxy and Power of Attorney as well. Both those documents are extremely important.

Yes - especially after DH was diagnosed.

It struck me early on how important this is and how many of us ignore it until it's too late.

Re: Do you have a Living Trust or Will?

Yes, we have a living will, health care proxy, power of attorney, a will and trust for our children and life insurance for both of us.

After what I went through with my Dad's stroke it was a top priority as soon as we got married. We updated it when DC's were born.

ETA: I would urge everyone to go through an actual law firm and not rely on the on-line forms. If something catastrophic happens you very well may need an actual attorney to advocate on your behalf.

We have both. We actually did it recently with our lawyer.
