Do you have a mattress pad or waterproof cover for your DC's crib mattress?
Besides the bedding set did you buy something to go underneath the sheets? TIA
If you do have one where did you get it? Are they all the same standard size? TIA

you can get a waterproof one, most pads fit the 27x51?? inch mattress. They are suppose to fit real snug. You can get them anywhere..BRU has them and also online. I used Babycenter.com for a lot of my baby stuff. Also Babyage.com (got my carseat there)

Yes - you can get them anywhere.
ETA - I got two different kinds at BRU. I prefer the one that fits like a fitted sheet. The one with the elastic clip things doesn't work well on my crib.

I had a pad but took it off. The mattress has a waterproof cover so if there is an accidents, I just wipe it down.

I have a waterproof mattress pad, then; the sheet on top. I also use the ultimate crib sheet on top of the regular sheet but since he is getting VERY adventurous and there are elastic straps that snap, I am going to remove his ultimate crib sheet and stick to the mattress pad and sheet only.

I use a mattress pad under the crib sheet. I find it makes it more soft and the sheets dont bunch up as much.

I have both. We bought a mattress pad to go under the sheets first but it seemed like alot to take on and off so I bought an Ultimate Sheet thing from BRU which goes over the sheets.

We use an idea that I got from either here, or another parenting site.
Over the mattress, put the waterproof pad, then a sheet. On top of that, put another waterproof pad and another sheet. This way, if DC has an accident at 3am, it only takes a few seconds to pull off the top sheet and pad, and you can put them back in the crib on the bottom sheet and pad. You can fix everything in the morning. It's helped us several times over the years.

Wow, that is a good idea. Never thought of it.
We use the Ultimate Crib sheet and I swear by it!

Ditto for us. I brought pads, but our mattress is waterproof and all i do is wipe it down if they have an accident.

I have to agree the ulitmate crib sheet is the way to go. It makes it so easy to change sheets in the middle of the night when they have an accident or have gotten sick. I have two and wouldn't use anything else.

Re: Do you have a mattress pad or waterproof cover for your DC's crib mattress?
I have a mattress pad and the ultimate crib sheet, but I put it under the sheet bc they are pretty and you can't see them! I know it defeats the purpose. When she gets messier and I change her sheets more often, I will probably put it on top.

Re: Do you have a mattress pad or waterproof cover for your DC's crib mattress?
I bought the plastic cover that has a zipper on the other end that goes over the mattress, kinda like a giant plastic pillow case over mattress. Then i put a cloth waterproof mattress pad then the sheet. That way mattress is protected and my dd doesnt hear the plastic sound when she moves around.

Re: Do you have a mattress pad or waterproof cover for your DC's crib mattress?
I use something similar to this waterproof pad: Sateen Crib Mattress Pad (waterproof)
But I'm pretty sure the ones I purchased at BRU are organic (I couldn't find it on their website) and are a natural/ecru color, not white.
