Do you have a will? Did you increase your life insurance policies after DC was born?
DH and I have been talking about increasing our life insurance policies and writing a will. I have no idea where to begin.

Yes, we have a will...or actually we go next week to finalize and sign the papers.
We increased our life insurance when I was pregnant.

Yes.
We are in the process of writing our will.
We did add on term life insurance policies for both DH and and I to cover the mortgage on the house. We wanted a place for DD to live if anything happened to either/both of us. We already had whole life insurance policies that we got when we were married.

We did the will after DS was born (a lawyer will walk you through everything) and got supplemental life. To figure out the amount, I found this helpful

Yes, we have each have a will, living will (what medical treatments we want if unable to make decisions ourselves), health care proxy (appoints who will make health care decisions for us if we can't), and durable power of attorney (designates who would handle all non-health care decisions for us). We also have a family trust established - mainly to manage inheritance taxes on our kids.
We got life insurance on DH when I was pregnant with DD, and then on me after she was born. We upped DH's policy after DS was born.
Our lawyer did all of our documents at the same time, but NYS residents can fill out and print living wills and health care proxies online at the NYS Bar Association website

We have a will along with health care proxy forms, and durable power of attorney. Or we will when we finalize it--it's basically done but we do need to change some things. We are also setting up a trust for our son.
We increased DHs life insurance when DS was born.

We got a will and a healt care proxy before DC was born. We wanted to increase our life insurance, but money has been tight. That is next on our to do list.
