Do you have any lingering "side effects" from childbirth?
My stomach always seems to be on the fritz. When I was PG and in my third tri, eating wasn't too fun. I used to have to hold my plate up because it was uncomfortable to lean forwards. And I would get full so fast, and it didn't feel good.
Anyway, Jackson is almost 10 months old and my appetite still isn't back to normal. After I eat, I frequently get stomach grumblies (like an upset stomach).
The other thing is that I still have to wear a panty liner every single day

I def have some left over ailments from birth
I pushed for 2.5 hours straight and i still have issues down there from that-fissures-made worse by pg now!
Since i got pg 5 months after dd was born, i don't think my digestive system got a chance to get back on track either. my acid reflux, ibs and ulcers are all bothering me hardcore and again exaberated by being pg/and when i bf'd.

I get pain in my back at the epidural site, and also have discharge which is worse obviously now being pregnant again.

Re: Do you have any lingering "side effects" from childbirth?
I had a bad back before pregnancy and it got VERY bad during pregnancy. Now, it is very painful...not as bad as while I was preggo, but much worse than before I was preggo.
Also, I am almost 4 months pp, and my stomach still feels funky all the time.-

Yep, I have the pantyliner problem too (but still have not gotten AF).
And there's the 10-15 pounds I need to lose.

Re: Do you have any lingering "side effects" from childbirth?
You mean besides the big tummy I have now
Yes, but one is good IMO. I always had a very bad stomach, so much so I never wanted to go out to eat because I would have to use the bathroom right after I ate (sorry, TMI). However, being pregnant twice and always taking vitamins I guess has slowed down my digestive tract and I am so much happier now.
The other issue I developed after pushing for 3 hours is, and the doctor's are still not 100% it WAS caused by birth, but I developed a kidney infection and blockage. I was hospitalized for 1 week when my DD was 3 weeks old and was on tons of antiobiotics and ended up having to have a stent put in my bladder/kidney.
After all that, I am fine, I just need to have the function of my kidney tested every year. That I don't mind since I am now able to say I feel so much better!

Re: Do you have any lingering "side effects" from childbirth?
I have some "side effects"...
My stomach is horrible - I have to constantly watch what I eat so as not to "trigger" it...
I ended up with a gall bladder infection that caused me to have to be hospitalized for a week and then surgery
My back has never been the same
There are a few more, that I can't remember right now... but when something pop's up, I always say "ever since I had Michael this has happened", lol...

So I guess the stomach issues are normal. Well, on a positive note, it helped me lose the weight pretty quickly because I never wanted to eat!

That's a good plus!
Hey do you like yogurt?? A friend of mine who has IBS told me years ago that a yogurt a day has helped regulate her... I've having a yogurt daily and I swear it has been doing wonders for my belly... it's worth a shot if you like it!
It sucks to be afraid to eat really... I am like Trish used to be, I cringe at the thought of going out to eat!

I actually just started eating yogurt yesterday! (and afterwards my stomach was grumbling ). But I had also heard that it's supposed to help with your stomach. I'll give it a shot!

Re: Do you have any lingering "side effects" from childbirth?
I still have stomach issues as well. More on the lines of gas pains after I eat though. It's not as bad as it was immediatelty pp but I think I'm going to give the yogurt thing a shot and see if it will help me.

Re: Do you have any lingering "side effects" from childbirth?
My knees started going when I was pregnant and still not better. Also my feet always hurt at the arches and still do. I think its from a lack of calcuim although I popped tums like candy when I was pregnant.

Re: Do you have any lingering "side effects" from childbirth?
I have bad knee pain, it started a month or so after the baby was born. I was just about to get an MRI when I got pregnant again so I am going to get it looked at right after I have the baby.

When I wake up in the morning my joints from my waist down hurt. I look like an old lady when I take my first few steps, especially my feet. Every bone hurts.
