Do you hold on to clothes that you out grew but are hoping to get back into?
I am the worst ! I've been holding on to clothes for YEARS hoping that one day I'll fit back into them. I finally got the courage this weekend to face the fact that those days are probably over AND if I ever do loose the weight to fit back into them, that I much rather go shopping for new stuff. I have 2 garbage bags filled with really nice stuff. I'm not even sure what to do with it.

Re: Do you hold on to clothes that you out grew but are hoping to get back into?
the last few weeks, we donated about 5 bags of clothes. Honestly- if you havent worn it in well over a year, its time to let go of it. Mine wasnt an issue of fitting, but just things that i didnt wear, but felt bad getting rid of because people had given them to me. But, like you said... if you get to that size, the Best reward is shopping for it. so i would just donate (or sell) them asap.
When we pack them up... we go and drop them in the clothing bins that same night-- this way we dont get to 'change our minds'

I'll have to research for a reputable donation company. I just feel so bad because some of the stuff is really nice. I wish I knew someone who could actually use it.

I just packed up two HUGE garbage bags with clothes that don't fit me anymore.
I have decided that if I lose more weight, I won't be wearing old clothes, no matter how much I love them...I will go and buy myself fabulous new clothes!!!

This is why we need a swap board I have an Ann Taylor suit, size 6 somewhere in this house. I love it enough to save but not enough to lose weight.
The last time I cleaned out my closet I had 6 huge garbage bags & spent forever stuffing them into the clothing bins by my church.

I have some stuff, like things from AnnTaylor that I barely or never wore, that I bought right before the car accidents and all of the weight gain. I won't aprt with them because they're new and beautiful and I really intened to keep losing the weight.

Re: Do you hold on to clothes that you out grew but are hoping to get back into?
I am getting rid of stuff all the time yet, I still don't have room in my closets.
I usually wear my clothes until they are no longer wearable. Unfortunatelly, I tend to hold on to them for some reason. The same applies to clothes too small. I decided to keep only a few pieces just in case that "still have the tags" in a storage bin and get rid of the rest. So far, I am up to 6 big garden carbage bags.
I donate them to the Goodwill because it's convenient.
For those ladies who have nice clothing, you could sale them in a consignement store. Some stores specialize in brand name clothing (suits, maternity clothes, etc.)

I want to add that I held onto a lot of nice clothes from before the accidents, and my mom used to be heavier than me and now she lost a lot of weight and she wears a lot of my cute clothes!

Re: Do you hold on to clothes that you out grew but are hoping to get back into?
Every year, at the end of the season, when I'm putting my clothes away, if I didn't wear it then, I will get all these clothes together and donate them. If I didn't wear it that season, must likely I'd not wear it again.
