I am surprised so many of you stock up Blast from the Past style.
I always thought that was something that came after years of parenting & having to shop sales & make sure there was enough food for snacks & having friend over, etc. (or from cold war paranoia )
You all did inspire me though & DH & I tried to get a few extra things on Sunday. I bought Triscuits on Tuesday & haven't eaten them yet! That's a record for me!
We're tight on space though. Does anyone else have a really small kitchen & no basement/garage to store stuff in? I live in a co-op with a tiny kitchen.

I have OCD, I went in for plastic spoons for work the other day at Waldbaums....and walked out with $250 worth of awesome Rib Eyes, Chicken, Stew Meats, Veggies, Fruits
LOL We ALWAYS have an abundance of food, I can cook up a gourmet meal at any time if you stopped over, all are always welcome. With that being said, I have a new passion for cooking and DH LOVES LOVES LOVES homemade meals that I whip up for him so I really enjoy it.
If it was just me in the house, i'd have a year supply of chicken burgers, fat free american cheese, string beans and diet coke. That's it, every day I could eat the same thing. lol DH Is a BAAD influence on me ;)

we buy meats and freeze them. we also have non-perishables stocked in the pantry. but we only buy veggies, milk, bread as we need it. i hate wasting money and food.
