Re: Do you know how to change a bulb when headlight is out on your car?
I just did it last weekend for my car and DH's. It is very easy.

I have done it - it's pretty easy. The directions should be in your owner's manual.
Yep, should be right in your manual. Some cars are easier than others. I did mine recently and had to take off the grill to get to it which was not hard, just time consuming. I'd say go for it- you will feel so proud when you are done! A little tip, dont touch the glass part of the bulb with your bare hands, take a paper towel or something- the oils on your hands make them lose some of their life (or so Im told)

Definitely. The oil gets heated from the bulb, and the excess heat damages the bulb. There's so much non-bulb in the actual bulb unit, it's very easy to not touch the glass part.

Good news: I know how to change a bulb now! It's a PITA, but I learned!
Bad news: In one of my cars, the bulb isn't burned out, but the light still doesn't come on. I guess it's time to learn about fuses?

nope. Last time took it to a gas station, they supplied the bulb and put it in, it had to be under 15.........
pepboys tends to be cheap on their repairs....

My husband, who is not handy by ANY stretch of the imagination, googled "how to replace a headlight", printed the directions, and did it...successfully.
I was HIGHLY impressed and mildly turned on.
