Re: do you know infant/toddler CPR?

Yes I do. I am probably being paranoid here, but DH and I took a class, and anyone who is with Joey alone on a regular basis- my parents, my inlaws, my sister, and DH's sister took it also. I can't fathom something happening to him and whoever is watching him not knowing what to do. We took it at South Nassau- $75 a person

Yes, it was offered in the NICU last year for free so we took it.

I took it years ago...then watched a dvd last year on it.

In the situation though, I just scream. I never get it together.Chat Icon

Yes, took a class when DS was a few weeks old, it was very helpful and informative. I would highly recommend it....and several of the people in the class had stories about using what they learned and were very grateful they had the training.

Re: do you know infant/toddler CPR?

I was certified in it since 1991. I begged DH to take it once we had our baby and he did! Chat Icon

Re: do you know infant/toddler CPR?

My sister took the class when she was pregnant (I was pregnant too). And she taught me. But to be honest, I don't remember a lick of it. Chat Icon Must be that preggo brain!Chat Icon

And even worse. If I did remember, I'm pretty sure I'd freeze in the situation Chat Icon

Re: do you know infant/toddler CPR?

As a healthcare provider I think it's just as important to keep it refreshed as it is to initally take the class. The more you drill it in your head the less likely you are to panic and draw a blank should you find yourself in that situation. Grab a doll and practice, practice, practice!

I also took the short version of the class without the certification and I'm also ashamed to say I don't really remember it and I don't know if I'd be able to handle it when the time came Chat Icon

If g-forbid you ever needed it, the dispatcher when you called 911 would talk you through it.

I do know it, I was an EMT and also a CPR instructor.

Yes, I took the course when Thomas was a few months old, but I wonder and worry whether I'd be able to perform in an emergency.
