Do you know of any good over the counter pills for stress?
I have mild anxiety. A few weeks before before my wedding a friend gave me a mild dose of xanax to help deal w/wedding stress and it worked great. I really don't want to start again with w/xanax or any other medication since it can be addicting and we are going to start TTC in a few months. Thanks!

St. John's Wort is the one that came to my mind. I'm pretty sure you can find it with the vitamin supplements.

Valerian Root.. it has worked for me! It smells horrible, but seems to take the edge off.

It makes me sleepy. I've taken it before bed to help me sleep. (I have on and off problems with insomnia)
Agreed - smells awful, but does help take the edge off. St. John's wort really needs to be taken every day for at least a week before you start to feel any different.

I've heard St. John's Wort as well.
I take melatonin to help me sleep. It relaxes me. Maybe I should look into taking it during the day.

I take 1/4 pill of xanax sometimes. Maybe once a month. It's pretty harmless in those infrequent doses.
If it helped before, it will help again.
