Do you know someone who always has a dark cloud over their head?
every time I speak to a friend of mine she is complaining about something, or something bad happened, or her kids are sick. I can't take it anymore 
I swear to GOD, this woman is NEVER happy! 
how do you deal?

I try to make light of things they complain about that aren't all that serious. It happened just today, I had a rare occassion to be very upset about something and I call her and she's all stressed out over nonsense. Couldn't deal w/it so I cut the conversation short.

- my kids' finger got chopped off by the closet door being slammed on it by his older brother
- my son told his teachers that my husband and I beat him (they don't), now we have the child protection people here every day and they think he's a psycho
- my husband is getting sued by a client

Oh, now I see the problem. She has real stuff going on but still makes for a hard conversation when it's always negative. In this case, I'd say keep on screening the calls! I hate stuff like that cause I never know what to say. Wow, that's bad doesn't really cut it, you know?

so true, pay no attention to them and your life will be easier. I alwasy find it finnu that people talk abou their "bad luck" manwhile they make poor decisions, so what do they expect

I posted a few times about a friend I've been trying to get rid of because of this reason (and for other reasons as well). Well a friend of her's recently blasted her for this very reason. Her parting words were "At least now that we're not friends, I don't have to hear between 8-10 hours of your negative crap"
