Do you let tv shows affect you??
I truly am starting to think I let tv shows affect me TOO MUCH!
The other night, I was so depressed when Melinda got voted off, it was all I could think about.
Then last night with Greys..I thought about it all night. And I literally feel DEPRESSED today and I cant get the final scenes with everyone out of my mind.
I keep trying to tell myself its only tv and why do I care so much..but I feel so involved with these shows! I think I am a tad bit wacky!

Last year when Chris Daughtry got voted off Idol and basically ROBBED I was depressed for days.
And this year every time there is an elimination night on Idol I get knots in my stomach for Blake. When he wasn't voted out the other night I was on a high.
So yes- I would say TV does affect me- but mostly reality shows.

No. I may get frustrated about a story line or something but I don't get too emotional about them beyond the scope of the show.
ETA -- I take that back. I was really sad when John Spencer/Leo McGarry died on West Wing.

the only way it really effects me is when a show has its series finale. i get sooooo used to watching certain shows on certain nights that when they end i feel lost! forget it, when i Friends ended i almost cried! and then when Will and Grace ended, i went thru withdrawal...i still watch the reruns late at night just to get my fix!

I do. I was so upset last night after seeing ER.
Last year when Chris was voted off idol I actually cried when they read the results. I was in a funk all week afterward.

I had to stop watching the reruns of SVU before I went to bed. Gave me nightmares.
I stoped watching altogether for awhile, because the show really gets to me. I do not watch any show about kids anymore.

I cry during the shows. And lately when I watch a particularly violent or traumatic show, I have been having nightmares.
I watched CSI with DH twice and told him I can no longer watch this show.
We watch Jericho together and I have had nightmares the same night about a nuclear attack.

This is so funny that you wrote this. All night last night I dreamt about Greys...like I was working in the hospital with them!!!

a few weeks ago I was watching Cold Case and I cried my eyeballs out for a long time. The next day it was all I could think about.

Definately... I cried this week at the series finale of Gilmore Girls and the season finale of the Office... I remember the season finale of the Office last year I was so excited I couldnt sleep...
eta I will also never forget the Six Feet Under Series finale...that show in general really affected me but I was soooo sad after the finale... I cried for hours and was depressed for days

not at all, in fact, sometimes I'll be watching a show I'm really into, and then before I know it I realize missed the ending?! Usually b/c I get up or I'm just not paying attention...I don't get it.

OMG! I keep thinking about it!
I was very depressed after Friends ended. I cried like a baby like I wasn't going to see my friends anymore.
I cannot wait to see the finale of Gilmore Girls (they are reshowing it on Sunday - I missed Tuesday). I will have tissues ready for that one and I stopped watching the show last season.

The series finales of the shows I love really get to me. I watched the series finale of Gilmore Girls last night because I tapes it on Tuesday. I just can't stop thinking about it and that I will never see another new episode. I cried during a lot of it. I love Stars Hollow and I want MORE!! I didn't love the ending either.
