Do you like crumpets?
I am craving crumpets lately and I think I just might try to make them homemade because I cannot find them anywhere that was as good as I had in London and Paris.
DH looked at me like I had two heads when I said I wanted crumpets

I like them, too. More than english muffins, actually. Have you tried the ones from Trader Joe's?

I love them! They are really easy to make, here is a good recipe from The Hairy Bikers..
Crumpet Recipe
I love them with lots of good butter and golden syrup (A syrup made from byproducts of sugar cane) drizzled on them. Mmmmmmm.

And to think I have been taking crumpets for granted all these years of living in the UK. Next time I come home to LI, I will take an order for crumpets. I always bring home Scones for the family, so why not crumpets!!
