Do you need vaccinations to travel out of the US?
Just curious, do you need certain vaccinations to travel OUT of the US, or is it those coming to the US that require them?
Anyone with any insight? thanks

it depends on where you are going/coming from.
I believe the State Dept has info about which countries require what on their website.

Well no - but there are some places that the CDC highly recommends that you get certain shots. It largely depends on where you are going. Mainly places like rural china, india, parts of Africa they recommend either certain shots or medications. But for basic travel like caribbean, europe etc no you really don't. If you have any questions you can just check the CDC's website out they list that sort of thing. BTW if you do need some - LIJ has a travel clinic where you can get information and vaccines.

Keep in mind, some of those vaccinations need time to kick in, so make sure you get them with enough time before your departure date.
