Well we just found out....I plan on reading "What to expect when your expecting" as I go through this pregnancy, week by week.
I suppose I will consider Parenting books further into the pregnancy. I will probably read "What to expect the first year" and then ask for other recommendations.

I read and enjoyed modern girls guide to motherhood, dh is reading baby 411 and we are using baby bargains..my friend lent us the baby book by sears as well

I had a few books that I would peruse during middle of the night BFing sessions.
But ultimately, I just went off instincts.

We will definitely be investing in parenting books! Between the two of us, DH and I have changed two diapers in our lifetimes. And I was the person who did both! LOL so we are super clueless.
I know you can't learn to parent from reading a book, but I'm hoping for some loose guidelines we can apply to our DD when she gets here!

I'm casually reading both "healthy Sleep habits, happy child" and "so that's what they're for" (breastfeeding). Selections based on reading through posts on here of what btdt moms suggest.
I'm sure I'll also read Baby 411.
