Re: do you pre-mix your formula for the day?
I used to mix the days worth but used warm/room temp water & make each individual bottle. I would shake it when I made it & again before I gave it to her (after I warmed it up). Sometimes I had lumps in the nipple but not too often.

Re: do you pre-mix your formula for the day?
We never premixed for the day. We used to do premixed bottles for nighttime but we set up individual bottles. Before I would give it to my son, I shook the bottle several times just to try and get any clumps out.

no, never. i make it as i go because i don't heat the bottles. i'll show you tomorrow how to mix it so it doesn't clump--i have a special way of doing it and i never get clumps

Its super easy and works GREAT for those one a time bottles. I do not make big batches as AJ does not drink her milk warm and its a pain to keep warming up cold milk. Its much easier for me to make as I need and this little tool gets all the clumps!

i might look into this... it's just such a hassle to make the bottles as i go, since i am so used to the ease of breastmilk

I use a rubbermaid container and pre-mix enough for the day. Unless we are out, then I mix it as I need it while I am out

i have a tupperware container. i make about two bottles worth at a time.
i like to let it sit in the fridge, this helps with lumps

Re: do you pre-mix your formula for the day?
I premade her formula each and every day.
I too used a pitcher, and it was great.... The one that I used was the EFB - BRU brand, and it had a grate that kept the formula from clumping...
I def agree with having a pitcher to mix!
It's great, b/c you know that it's only for your DC, and it can & will never be used for anything else but.

Re: do you pre-mix your formula for the day?
I make enough for 8 bottles which is roughly 2 days of bottles for her. I bought a Tupperware pitcher and I first put the water in then the powder and shake like crazy. It blends it great, no clumps at all. I fill all her bottles and store in the fridge and before her feeding I just give her bottle a quick shake and I never notice any clumping in the bottle either.
