I usually only text when I feel like my talking on my cell phone will interfere or bother others near me, or when it will do the same for the other person i am communicating with. Otherwise, I'd prefer the phone.

I only text if I DONT want to talk to the person, but I hate talking on the phone also. And text ahh forget it, takes me like 20 mins to put "I'll be late from work"

I feel like it's less intrusive.
Like if someone is busy I feel like I am bothering them less if I just text them rather than call them...

Considering I barely know how to text anyone I would choose call.
I prefer email over both if it is just an exchange of information, not an emotional topic.
