Do you read Stephen King?

I saw a Wikipedia entry, and it looks like he has 77+ books published. That's not counting short stories, comics, movies, etc.

I've read more than half of his books, and seen most of his movies. My goal is to eventually read all of his books. I own 20+ of his books.

Yes, I enjoy his books.

I haven't read one in a long time--I want to now!

I am a HUGE Stephen King fan. A lot of people call him a hack, but I think he's a fantastic writer. I don't think anyone really fleshes out a character like he does. I own at least 40 of his books, and have read most of them several times.

DH is a HUGE Stephen King fan! We have most of the books in our home, but the rest have not made their way over from MIL house just yet. Except for the Shining, its in the freezer (to all my Friends fans Chat Icon )

I always laugh at that. When I read the last Gunslinger book, I got so upset about certain deaths (yeah, I know, it's fiction, but whatever) that DH told me I should put it in the freezer until I could handle it.

Re: Do you read Stephen King?

I've read maybe 2 or 3 of his books over the years, never really got into him. Not a big fan of those types of books.

Re: Do you read Stephen King?

I've read a bunch.

I find that many of his storylines take forever to get into. Chat Icon I like the short story collections best.

Rose Madder is one of my favorite books of all time though.

Re: Do you read Stephen King?

I did a lot when I was younger b/c my mom loves him.

I read the Stand in two days...I thought it was fantastic.

I've read many of his books and short stories. even some of the Bachman books.

I would say my mom has read close to everything.

I actually printed out a checklist of every one of his books and stories, and when DW gets another one from the library for me, she checks it off the list, so I'll know for sure when I've read every one... Chat Icon

I have loved some of his writing and loathed some. He's really hit or miss with me.

Ditto.

I do, however, LOVE his short story collections - they're my favorite.
