so teh newest update is that the doctor is coming to check her again. If she has not dialated past 5cm, they will induce her...I plan to meet my new nephew after work tomorrow
Any more updates?
nothing yet, she is sleeping now and they have her on a pitocin drip (just a small amount of pitocin)

how exciting you will be an auntie soon
For me i took 8 hours to go from 5 to 10. I was put on pitocin at 8am when i was almost 5 and i started pushing at 4pm.

I was 5cm at 11am, 10cm at 5:20pm, so about 6 hours.
But that was without an epidural. I'm under the impression that an epidural slows labor down.

I was about 4cm at 11pm and 10cm at 8am. 9 hours for me!
No epi though.

It took me 4-5 hours, most of my dilation came quickly after I got my epidural.

With Ava my water broke at 4:30am - had her at 8:59am.
With Jack I was "sorta" induced so the details are a little blurry. I do know that I went from 5-10 and Jack coming out in 7 minutes

just talked to her, she is 7 cm dialated but feeling good thanks to the epi...she is holding out and hopefully will have him in a few hours
