Do you sell girl scout cookies (any fundraiser) for your DC?
My DD is now a Daisy.
I'm just curious of whether it's the norm that parents sell for their kids.
ETA: any fundraiser

My D is a Daisy also & I help her sell by asking friends family & neighbors if they would like to buy some. If I was working I would ask my co workers too. Her Dad will mention it also at his job.

Re: Do you sell girl scout cookies for your DC?
I want her to approach our family members, to help her build her confidence and speaking skills. (Last year, my brother told me that she hid behind my mom and whispered, "Uncle John, I'm selling cookies" ) I have a few friends who I will approach, though, and if I was still working I would sell there. We don't go nuts though, no door-to-door, just family and good friends.

Re: Do you sell girl scout cookies for your DC?
I forgot to answer my own question: Growing up, my parents didn't sell for me. I'm not sure if it's because they were NYC public school teachers & didn't want to bring them on the train, or because it was my responsibility. I still remember in the freezing cold going door-to-door & delivering too.
My DD is in Daisy's this year & *she* actually wanted to take advantage of the warm temperatures this past Sunday (I'm in NC) & walked our small development. She was so proud of the 30+ boxes she sold, by herself (I was told to wait on the street LOL) & I'm so proud of her too.
I'm a SAHM, my DH can't take them to his job & we have a VERY small family here, so we won't be selling much.

DS is a a Cub Scout so we do Popcorn sales. DH takes the sheet to work DS also sells to family and goes door to door in our neighborhood. It's great to watch him gain skills and confidance as he goes door to door. A few years ago our Pack gave tickets to a sleep over on the Intrepid as a prize to the scouts that sold a certain amount. DS really wanted to go on that trip so he worked his but off selling popcorn. It was a really good lesson and he really enjoyed that trip.

Our service unit said no door-to-door sales, so of course the parents help out tremendously. The only door to door sales were to be the "walkabout" sales, where you already have the cookies in hand, and it's scheduled.

My neighbor sells us girl scout cookies for her daughter. I love it! I literally look forward to that email every year. I think it's fine. When I was teaching, people would leave the order form in the faculty lounge and that's how I used to get my fix.

Same here. I think it's down to one person though.
There are a couple of girls in our neighborhood who are girl scouts and they come to our house to sell. One's mom asks if people are interested on FB and once I respond yes, she sends her DD over.

Re: Do you sell girl scout cookies (any fundraiser) for your DC?
my mom always brought our fundraiser stuff to work. She was an accountant in the payroll department for a hospital. she .saw a ton of people because she handed out the checks so I always did well. I would also go door to door to sell. my kids can only do family and door to door since I work from home and most of dh's colleagues travel or work from home.
