Do you ski?
Dh and I are looking into our annual ski trip with our friends. Can you throw out some destinations?
We have gone to Shoeshoe, Gatlinburg, and Lake Tahoe, as well as upstate. My bankers always say Utah is the was to go, but DH wants telluride, Co. Has anyone gone to Telluride? It is more pricey then Tahoe, so I want to make sure it is great before I try to sell it to our friends. They are sold already on another Tahoe trip. Thanks

Steamboat Springs, CO is awesome. I have been there a few times. The mountain is great and so is the town. There are tons of great restaraunts and bars. Def my favorite place to go.

Re: Do you ski?
I love to Ski! I've done, Vail/Breckenridge one trip, Tahoe another trip and Telluride another trip. If you don't want to journey out west, would recommend Killington in Vermont or Sunday River in Maine. If you are going with some non-skiers (like my DW), I would recommend the Mt. Washington area in NH. There's Atittash, Wildcat, Loon and Sunday River (about an hour drive away) for the skiiers and plenty of shopping (outlets) for the non-skiers.

Re: Do you ski?
DH and I went to Killington a couple of years ago. It was absolutely gorgeous. We didn't have as much fun on the mountain, because there was a windchill of minus 15 degrees and you couldn't even see more than a foot in front of you going down the mountain, but if the weather hadn't been so terrible, I'm sure we would've had a blast

Re: Do you ski?
thanks guys!! no problem with going west, DH and I are the only New Yorkers in our group. Maybe for a solo trip we should check out VT.
Did you think Telluride was worth the money?

Yeah! Fellow boarder! I miss it! Haven't gone in ages.
I've heard that British Columbia is gorgeous - pure powder...also Steamboat is great.

Re: Do you ski?
i snowboard, ive never been in Colorado, mostly local PA, NY, VT... I'd love to plan a trip to Whistler, BC though - that place sounds amazing and rates are good b/c of the money exchange...

Re: Do you ski?
I love skiing- don't do it as much as I used to though. Wish I lived close to a ski resort for the winter- I never really get any better the little bit I go. Have mainly gone to MA-Jiminy Peak and Brody (good for the non-experts )

Re: Do you ski?
Telluride was good, but I actually liked Vail and Tahoe better.
I too wish I could ski more as well. One day I'd like to purchase a condo up in VT or NH as an investment and rent it out.
