I'm not sure where the original picture is, I'm sorry. Did you get a picture of your proposed layout? I think it's important to get one, bring it home and put in the kitchen. Keep looking at it and see how you feel. I think you should ask them to show you the layout with the sink not under the sink. I'm sure they can show you both options. Let me know how it goes.

mine is under window...it scares me at night when I am standing at sink..like someone is looking in at me...even through blinds
i don't think it matters.

I get freaked out too .
We ordered cabinets and I ended up moving the sink to one side of the U. It works out perfectly.
