Do you think Feb 1st is a bad date for a baby shower because of the Superbowl?
My friends and I were planning for the 1st and then just realized that is the date of the Superbowl.
Would you reschedule to another date?

yes. Even though its traditionally all women, some people travel or host parties. I would do it that Saturday before instead of Superbowl Sunday.

I would do it the weekend before or the weekend after - I know if I'm hosting a big Superbowl party I'm not cancelling it to attend a Baby Shower ........And I need the day before to prep - But you're talking to a person who hosts 40+ people at a time -

I would definitely try and set it up for another day if you can. A lot of people take super bowl parties very seriously. lol

Oh heck yeah. Im a football person and would skip the shower in all honestly. I know a lot of woman who would do the same.

Me personally.. I would go, but I agree with everyone else, that I would shoot for a different day.
As it is my husband is  because I'm scheduled to be induced on Super Bowl Sunday!

 Mine asked if "he is late, you dont think it would happen during the game do you?"  Um if he is that late Im going to jump off a cliff to get him out.

Because of this my shower is the weekend after, Feb.7th.
We just changed it to the 8th. I think most of my guests would still have come to my shower but didn't want to put them in an awkward situation.

My shower is the day before and I am worried that some people won't attend bc of the superbowl. I personally have zero interest in it, but alot of people I know do.

If it's not already scheduled, then yes, I would change it to another date - most people do go out for the superbowl.

I am due 2/2 and DH jokes that I better not even think of going into labor during the superbowl
Seriously the superbowl is an EVENT and people really go all out for it.
