It's weird if you are not used to it- I felt odd doing it for the first time when I had my wisdom teeth out (usually I call) but my boss just told me to email him b/c he knew that I would not be able to speak well...
But it almost felt "not real" to me! LOL I'm thinking, is this legit? Is it OK for me just to write this, send it and go back to bed?

I do it all the time  But Monday and Tuesday of this week I actually called in because my voice was HORRIBLE and I always feel guilty taking off from work

at my last job- normal
at my new job- you must call and take to your boss- not leave a message- which I think is weird!

I wish i could just do that, but I have to first call my supervisor and leave a message, and then i have to email everyone else who it affects.
