Do you tip the tailor at a department store?
I just found out that Lord and Taylor in Walt Whitman has an alterations dept. They do charge for alterations and they are set prices. They ring it through the register and the tailors are regular employees. It's not part of a bridal salon. Do I tip the lady who did my pinning?

We've used a tailor in the men's dept. at Bloomies a few times and we always tip him.

I have never gone to one at a department store. Just at a regular taylor shop. I don't think tipping is the norm at those. So I would have assumed you dont have to tip at the store if they are charging you.

I'm still not sure what to do but I do plan to use these tailors again. If you tip, how much?
