Do you wash the tube on the medela breast pump?
I've been washing it each time but, not sure that I should be since it doesn't actually touch the milk and it gets water inside of it then...
Did u sterilize it before first use by boiling?
Do you wash the tube between pumpings?
The instructions are vague - they say to wash anything that comes in contact but don't define what...
TIA

you can sterlize them. i use the steam clean bags by medela but i don't do it all the time. be careful though b/c if there is a lot of moisture in them they will grow mildew in them! keep the pump running w/ the tubes attached after pumping for a few minutes to dry them out.

I serilized them once and then as the pp said I ran them attached to the pump for a few minutes to dry them out.
But you don't really need to ever wash them, they don't come into contact with your milk.
