Do your 3 year olds use regular toothpaste yet?

Megan still isnt using flouride toothpaste because she still doesnt fully spit. I was wondering if anyone else was using flouride toothpaste yet?

My SD did use regular kids toothpaste at 3 years old.

DS was 3 in June, he's still using the training toothpaste. The dentist said it's usually at about 3 1/2 that they get the whole spitting thing and move on to regular toothpaste.

DS is 4 and we use the Oral B toothpaste for kids. The flavor of the regular toothpaste that DH and I use is way too strong for him. He used it once and cried that his mouth was burning.

My 3 year old still uses toddler toothpaste. Once in awhile he will use the fluoride toothpaste my older ones use but mostly it's still the toddler stuff.

OMG...don't laugh.

Up until last month, I still had my ALMOST 8 YEAR OLD using the Thomas the Train or Little BEAR training toothpaste.

I was getting conflicting advice from his ped, and his dentist.

Finally I just felt he knew enough to spit it out sufficiently, and I also felt his teeth weren't getting as white as they could be...so I finally made the switch to Crest Kids.

My 4 year old is still on the Little Bear, but as soon as the 2 tobes run out (that we have left), he'll be making the big move also.

DD will be three next month and she is still using the kids toothpaste. She is just getting the fact that you have to spit but only after she drinks a mouthful of water with the toothpaste still in her mouth!
