Do your dogs have "dog friends"?
Bella has a few dog friends in our development, but her BEST friend is a lab mix named Hershey. It is so funny she knows what houses they all live in too. Today DH and I were eating dinner and Hershey walked by and Bella was practically doing backflips she was whining and barking and kept running up to us and then back to the window. Like she was asking us if she could go out and play. I felt so bad because we were in the middle of eating, or I would have taken her out to see her buddy. I can't even say the name Hershey (or dog park, or Doggy day care) without her going completely nuts!! I told her though that we are going to NY tomorrow and she is going to see Hope (my parents dog) and she is VERY excited. Once she sees her car harness she knows where she's going!! <--------------(thats Bella and Hope in the picture)

Misty and Scout(karacg) are best friends! She also has a Rottie friend named Zena and she just made friends with a Cane Corso puppy named Lucifer (who is 12 weeks old and the same size as her ).

Re: Do your dogs have "dog friends"?
Our next door neighbor's puggle is her BFF - they sit and wait/howl for each other at the fence until one of us lets the other one in the yard.
She's also friends w/ my friends dogs.
Here's a pic of her and my friend's lab:

Re: Do your dogs have "dog friends"?
YES!! We live in a very dog friendly neighborhood, almost everyone has a dog and we all get together each night and let the dogs play. It's nuts!!
Lexie's best friend is Luna (golden ret.) who lives next door and is 2 weeks older than her. They love each other.

Re: Do your dogs have "dog friends"?
aw that is so cute.
My dog is so anti social. We are working with the trainer to socialze him. If the dog is bigger than him and approaches him first he gets very scared.
He showed interest in playing with my uncle's pug once but just kind of wagged his tail and sniffed him. That is the only dog he has not been scared of. What a little chicken. But he bullies my cat!

Re: Do your dogs have "dog friends"?
Definetely Misty (Gertyrae's Weimie).
He also plays with my sisters 2 dogs, but they aren't nearly as much fun.
He used to have more friends before DD, when we would take him to Group Class... ... poor Scoutie...

Re: Do your dogs have "dog friends"?
Jack has a girlfriend named Honey, she's a pug. He also has my cousin's dog Buddy that visits from upstate along with my Aunt's two weinies-he has a love/ hate relationship with them My other cousin's dog Shermie is Jack's new buddy, he's a shepard mix And Jack's least favorite, my Moms grumpy Llaso Apso "Gizmo" AKA "Captain Black Balls" he's the only Dog that Jack knows that isn't neutered & he likes to hump, it freaks Jack out.
We babysit everyone's pets while they go away & we usually let them stay here so Jack gets lots of playtime. Plus we invite our friends dogs sometimes.

Misty is like this about Scout! If we say we are going to see Scout, she goes batty. If I take her to a dog park, she gets all excited every time a black lab comes in - until she realizes it's not Scout and then comes back to me like "Where is he?". She LOVES Scout!

Re: Do your dogs have "dog friends"?
Cyrus had one BFF Ceasar (White Shepard) that passed a few months ago and also another friend behind us that he used to meet at the fence everyday who just passed also. So he's a little lonely. He still goes to the fence everyday looking for him.
He has a friend Logan (American Bulldog) who he goes for walks with but we can't let them play together yet. They are both a little anxious around each other. Hopefully soon they'll be playing together.

He has a crush on our friends' dog. He pays attention to no one else when she's over. Everytime our friends come over (even without the dog), he's all over them.

Yes. My ILs have 2 yorkies and they get together at least once a weekend to run around with one another. Daisy is actually there now since she had a sleep over.
