Dock Diving / Animal Planet / Travel channel at Oyster Bay Fest this weekend!
Ultimate Air Dogs Presented by Optimum will be competing at the 25th Anniversary Oyster Festival, Oyster Bay, LI, NY.... this weekend, Saturday & Sunday, October 18 and October 19 on the Waterfront at Theodore Roosevelt Park. This is a UKC sanctioned event, so UKC titles can be achieved. Although, your dog/s do NOT have to be UKC registered to compete.
Anne Marie Lucas from Animal Planet's Animal Precinct: NY will be coming on Saturday afternoon. She will be appearing at the Optimum booth and will be available for photos and autographs. She will also address the crowd about animal cruelty and such prior to Optimum’s raffle of a 42” LCD TV. She will also pull the winning ticket, pool side.
Travel Channel will be at the Festival filming all day Saturday!! Among other local TV Stations.

If the weather is good and I can convince my husband, we are TOTALLY going. 
We have a deck in our backyard that is 1 to 2 feet off the ground in some places and I've noticed that when Brinkley fetches off the deck, he LEAPS off the end, as far as he can go. I'm wondering if he would enjoy dock diving!

Looks like you can only bring your dog if you pre-register though! No other pets allowed, according to the festival website.

And they are really, really strict about it.
We tried to bring Misty one year and they wouldn't even let the little dogs in.

I would pre-register him but he hasn't even been in the ocean yet. I'm not sure that he would jump off of a dock! I don't know the first thing about the sport.
We'll probably still go, without him.
