Doctor said I may have this baby early

So i've had tons of cramping and back aches...went for my 34 week appntmt friday and that was the conclusion..my body is already preparing for labor. I may go around 38 weeks he seems to think BUT he said not to kill him if i go past my due date, lol. I don't know what to think!! My shower is in NY this saturday and i live in VA!! No labor vibes till after then please, lol!!

I am due 9/5...he is thinking anytime after 37 weeks only because of the horrible menstrual like cramps i've had...he said that usually starts later? That would put me at around August 18th or so?? I really want to hang in there until his due date though!!

But 37 weeks really isn't early, I don't think. My doctor said that you can expect baby anytime between 37-42 weeks.

ETA: Let's hope he sticks it out at least until after your shower.

I will say a little prayer the baby doesn't attend the shower !

I am 34 weeks also and I hope my Dr. can tell me SOMETHING this week, I hate surprises !!!!
