Doctor's Appointments
How often do you bring your infants to the doctors? I am scheduled pretty much every month for 'Wellness Visits' - do you bring your child for these as well?

Re: Doctor's Appointments
Our first ped. only wanted to see her every two months. Our new ped. wants to see her every month. IMO, at this age, they need to be seen every month. So much changes month to month with them, and it's good to go to ask questions and check their weight, etc.

Re: Doctor's Appointments
Jake was seen every month until he was 6 months. Then he went at 9 months, 12 months, 15 months and 18 months. His next appointment will be when he is 2 years old.

Re: Doctor's Appointments
Ok - that what I thought. I found out that my DH's insurance only pays for one of these 'wellness visits' A YEAR!

shots are covered, if she is sick she is covered, but if they mark it as a wellness visit as well - we have to pay that part out of pocket

Do you have to pay the co-pay or for the whole well visit?
ours is the opposite, they pay for everything including co-pay for Well visits, but sick visits are a $30 co-pay and then they cover the appt.

We don't have a co-pay. how it works is that my insurance gets a discounted price and then we pay 10% of that price - so we always get a bill in the mail from the doctors. So to answer your question - if the wellness visit is $50 (just for checking her weight) we have to pay $50
