Does anyone actually enjoy watching the news ???
I am not much of a TV person. I can count the shows I watch on one hand. Today's TV is such garbage in general, I really don't watch much (outside of Law & Order, CSI, etc).
So I am sitting here eating my dinner. I look at the time on my computer and I say to myself... "8 minutes till the 10 o'clock news comes on".
I actually enjoy the news. Today will be especially juicy with all the wall street trouble.
Am I nuts?

Not nuts at all. When major news happens you want to make sure you're the first to hear it! Makes for great watercooler conversations the next day. :D
I used to watch HGTV and the cooking channel often but CNN is my preferred channel nowadays with the Wall St. and election news so hot lately!

I am a big TV fan and have my certain shows I watch all week. But every night at 11pm, I watch channel 4 news. I enjoy it...so your definitely not nuts! I feel like it brings me up to speed on what is going on in this crazy world lol

I don't enjoy it. It's too depressing. However, I do watch it every night, thanks to DH.

I watch or listen to more news than anything else. I even have podcasts from NPR on my IPOD.
Yesterday I turned on MSNBC for 2 seconds in my office, when it was down almost 800 & I proceeded to have an anxiety attack (which I have very rarely) that I had to continue to work through. I couldn't really tell anyone because I had a patient in my chair. A couple of hours later my arm was numb, my ears felt like they were popped, my heart was racing & my blood pressure was 165/86 with is REALLY high for me.
Today I'm going to try to listen to music or motivational speakers in my car and I'm not watching any news today. Tonight I'll watch the debate. That's it.
After 9/11 I had anxiety like this.

I cannot stand the local news in Charlotte. I miss Ernie and Rosanna!! Here the only big news is murder and the NASCAR Hall of Fame being overbudget. This is why I get my news from CNN, as depressing as the economy is at least it is a step up from hearing about murders.

Watching the news makes me too anxious. I get the headlines all day from the Internet, so I stay well enough informed.
