Does anyone belong to the Huntington or Centerport Yacht Clubs?
DH and I are thinking of joining a club and we were looking into either of these. I was curious as to how people liked them - if you belong to either of these, please FM me because I have some questions (if you wouldn't mind!)

most of my friend belong to the Bay Club or Baycrest Beach Club, Huntington Yacht club has OLD members, not sure about the Centerport one, where do you live, you have to be a resident for either of these, and they wait list is YEARS!!

I know a few people in Centerport. It's ok. I also know Northport is ok. I love The Bath Club as well as Bay Club but they take years to get into.

I have a friend of a friend who belongs to Centerport Yacht Club. I can get more info. I think she really loves it, but mostly because she grew up in the area and a lot of people from her childhood are there.

,my family is a memeber of the bay club and have since i was little - love it there
but if you are a bigger boater - then centerport, northport, or huntington are better- because the bigger boaters want their boats protected in the harbor
As a kid my father kept his sailboat at the bayclub - the bayclub is fast to get out - no slow time - but he had to be careful of the fall storms because there was no protection for the boat - when he got a bigger boat he got a slip in the harbor
there isn't much beach at huntington or centerport yacht clubs - we go over to eat a lot at centerport - you can use minimums at different clubs - it is really pretty - very protected - fmaily friends joined this club in addition to the bay club because they have a better sailing program for kids and their son is nationally ranked junior sailor
