Does anyone do the Mommy & Me Class at Saf T Swim?
How much is it? They gave me a rate sheet yesterday at the party and after I almost fainted at the prices, I realized that was for the individual lessons.

I did the class last summer. It was 6 weeks for a half hour each class and I think the price was $59 and then you have to pay a $15 insurance fee, so the total was $74. I'm 90% sure that's right.

I did it wth Amanda when she was a baby so like almost 3 years ago - that price sounds about right - there is always a discount coupon but for 1st time customers only

Thanks! What exactly do they do in the class? Do the instructors help the kids or is that the parents job?

amanda was younger then emma when we did it - she was only like 6 months but they showed us what to do with them and we held our kids and did what they said while they watched. they taught them the strokes and also a safety maneuver on the side of the pool of how to hold on and then they let them do a free play for the last few minutes.

Re: Does anyone do the Mommy & Me Class at Saf T Swim?
I honestly didn't like it. The girl teaching the class was like 16. We did the SAME thing EVERY class. We did arms strokes for a few min, then some kicking on the belly, then kicking on the back, then a little twirling them around on their sides. The part DS like was you bring them to the side of the pool, they try and climb out, then sit on the edge, jump in and go under for a few seconds. Then there was about 15 min of do whatever you want. If I didn't have a gift certificate, I wouldn't go back (this was at the Deer Park one and DS was about 14 months at the time).
PS I learned a bad lesson...wear water shoes!
